On his second full-length album, “Television Dreams”  Chris blends acoustic folk with elements of electronic.  Layers of guitars, banjos, and vocals accompany thoughtful and meaningful lyrics.

My voice is the vehicle of my expression, which I use to communicate stories of honesty, beauty, pain, and real life through the melody and the poetry of acoustic music.

 • SLO LEAK •

Listen to the WPKN interview
(from Tuesday 4/27/09)

http://www.tvtrecords.com/artists/photo?id=112&width=170&height=154Slo Leak recently released their third CD, New Century Blues. Goldmine said, “it is a groove-oriented, funked-up monster of dark, down-and-dirty electronica and traditional blues-rock. So hot and steamy it practically sizzles, the record melts asphalt…” *

Slo Leak is the vision of Charlie Karp and Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar. Charlie Karp is well known to Blues audiences in the area. He was a member of Buddy Miles Express and was the front man in: White Chocolate and Charlie Karp and the Name Droppers. Charlie just burned down the house with some distinguished friends at “Jam for Karl”! Ask anyone who was there!

http://o.aolcdn.com/art/amgmusic/album/pop/cov200/drc800/c801/c801171ro24.jpgDanny Kortchmar is a music industry heavyweight. He co-wrote “Somebody’s Baby” with Jackson Browne and “New York Minute” with Don Henley. He’s an in-demand session player and has played guitar on albums by: Buddy Guy, Etta James, Warren Zevon, James Taylor, David Crosby and Graham Nash, Linda Rondstadt and many others. He’s produced albums for: Joe Cocker, Boz Scaggs, Billy Joel, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Martin Sexton, Bon Jovi, Don Henley and James Taylor. Hell, he even did a short stint playing with the Fuggs and had a cameo in Spinal Tap.

Slo Leak’s Bass player is Kenny Owens. He known to local audiences as a member of the Twinkies and toured for ten years with Jose Feliciano. The drummer is Kevin Hupp who’s played with Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter, Eddie Van Halen, Maceo Parker and Joan Osborne to name just a few. Master of electronica is engineer John Arrias. John has recorded and mixed albums for: Bob Seger, Neil Diamond, Patti Labelle, Donna Summer and Marshall Tucker.
