Based out of Southern Connecticut, I Anbassa formed in the summer of 2009 and matured quickly.  To date, they have played with Steel Pulse, Stephen Marley, the Mighty Diamonds, Tribal Seeds, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Lettuce, and Deep Banana Blackout. I Anbassa has headlined sold out shows at many venues, including Toad's Place in New Haven, CT and Webster Hall's Grand Ballroom in NYC.  They have played in every kind of venue, from weddings to radio station studios to large scale audiences in the thousands.  I Anbassa has also performed at many non-profit events such as Art&Struggle and Black Rock Rocks Mardi Gras, and has so far spearheaded two very successful Hope for Haiti benefits.  

In the summer of 2011, their music was featured in a web broadcast, reaching fans across the U.S., Jamaica, and in parts of Africa.  I Anbassa was voted by fans as "Best Reggae Band in CT" in 2010 and 2011.

The finalists scheduled to perform:
Clay Garner (7:10-7:25) is a lovely singer songwriter who has gained quite a bit of notoriety internationally.  Clay writes music in both English and Mandarin (Chinese). Clay has hundreds of thousands of fans all over the world.
Chillingsworth (7:40-7:55) is a unique indie pop/rock/funk band.  With influences such as The Interstellar Elevators, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, and Jukebox the Ghost. Steve Friedman on Bass and vocals, Zach Malett on guitar and vocals, Malcolm McClintock on keyboard and bells, Josh “The Funk Machine” Malett on drums, Heydar Ensha on sax and bells, and Rebecca Black as the vocalist.
Borrowed Glory (8:10-8:25) is a rock band with influences such as Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Santana. Ryan Bigelow plays guitars as well as lead and backing vocals, Cameron Swanson plays bassinet and Eli Chodock plays drums as well as singing lead and backing vocals.
Cheeky (8:40-8:55) is a two-woman band. Bryttany Cunningham is on guitar and lead vocals and Charlotte Axthelm on guitar and vocals. They have a sweet, hip sound that falls under the realm of acoustic alternative. The Beatles are a huge influence on Cheeky!
